Sexy Zone.. Really??

Johnny's is really, really bad with names.

I mean.. A few years back, I thought things were getting better because of B.I.Shadow

I mean.. the name itself still doesn't mean anything (I think) but it's cute, and unique,

Drama time!

Show
SO... I've been massively downloading dramas while I was still in university, taking advantage of the internet.

And this past week, aside from massive shopping for a new wardrobe for work and massive amount of sleeping... I've also managed to squeeze in some time for intense massive drama-ing xD

I finally finished Code Blue 2. All I can say is, it's fantastic. I think it's better than the first season, not that the first one wasn't good. Now, if Yamapi could please cut his hair for a second season of Kurosagi, that would make my year.

Code Blue 2 was filmed excellently. Some parts were dragged out a little tooooo long but I think there were only 2 instances throughout the season when I was bored. Admittedly, the first two episodes were not impressive. Not even, they were disappointing, if I may say so. But the third episode was easily the one of the best episodes (if not the best episode) for me. After the third episode, the drama managed to keep up with the good work. And if my memory serves me right, there isn't a significant amount that went on in the first two episodes. If I am correct, the personal story of each interns didn't seriously come into play at least until the third episode. So yes, I guess I could say the first two episodes were a little bit of a waste of time.

I like how, unlike the first season, they managed to slip ideas and thoughts into each episode such as lies and truth. They might be cheesy sometimes, but it makes the drama seem to come alive with how these ideas intertwined with each character's struggles, both in their work and their personal life. In comparison, the first season seemed kind of pointless. I remember liking the first season a lot, but thinking that there wasn't really any story or plot behind it and it was just a bunch of doctors saving lives in each episode while learning how to become better doctors. And that was it.

So yes, I was surprised that I thought the 2nd season is more epic than the 1st, cause usually the 2nd season really deteriorates. I mean, more than half the time, the only reason sequels exist solely because of the success of the 1st. I think it was the same for Code Blue, but they have managed to surpass the 1st season, thus surpassing my own expectation. And out of curiosity, I went to check the viewership for the drama (Thank you, drama wiki). Not so surprisingly, the viewership for the season season was higher than the first, by a full percentage point.

I honestly don't think there would be a third season now. And I honestly still believe if there would be a third season, it would be worse than the first two. Even though Aizawa's (Yamapi's) story is pretty told and finished, the others could be left alone. Because honestly, Aizawa's life is the only one that really adds an element of unknown to the drama. Sometimes, untold story is better left untold. So overall, I feel like being nice today, so 4.5 stars out of 5 for this drama. ^_^

Using the definition of derivatives, prove that if f(0)=0 and f'(0)=1, then f(x) and x must have the same signs.

Saw this article about having all-boys public schools in Toronto today while in class.

I think that this article raises some good point. GENERALLY speaking, males and females have different learning styles. So segregating them in class can't necessarily be a BAD thing, especially when people are given the choice and only those that really cannot adapt to the co-ed teaching style can opt for these other single-sex school options.

But then I went to look at the comments. And a LOT of people were angry at the fact that these learning styles and traits are stereotyped between boys and girls by the author.  Well, of COURSE not everyone is the same. GENERALLY speaking, males and females DO have different learning styles but the majority of learn the same way as the peers of their own gender group, which differ from one another. That is WHY single-sex schools aren't the only option and we have co-ed schools. These people need to get over themselves.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

Show
So I went to watch the highly anticipated 6th Harry Potter movie last night (first day!).

The movie was FRIGGIN' LONG... but they sorta managed to squish everything in so it's good. The movie started at ten ("ten" I SWEAR they started at ten-thirty with all the ads ><) and ended at 12:30am... Afterwards I went home and continued to talk about it on msn XD

I also thought it was unexpectedly good considering how poor I thought the last two movies were. Daniel Radcliffe's and Emma Watson's acting also got better. Rupert's stayed awesome, so did the twins... Tom Felton also did a good job. And he is hot (At least in the movie and US premier). So... when it comes down to it, there are several parts of the movie that I can say I was very impressed with. But the rest of it was pretty meh~

Things that I liked:
  • The grand sceneries, such as the shot right before Harry and Dumbledore ventures into the cave.
  • Felix Felicis scene, Daniel really did a fabulous job here. The whole awkwardness of the scene also made it mega-hilarious.
  • The Ron-ate-love-potion-laced-chocolate-intended-for-Harry scene (which is, coincidentally, the Ron-got-poisoned scene), that was really funny at the beginning and well-done at the end.
  • The scene where Katie Bell got cursed. That was VERY VERY well done. I could say that's the scene that I'm most impressed with in the movie, but I really can't, since it isn't very important.
  • The Weasley Wizarding Wheezes was awesome. And as I've said, even though James and Oliver Phelps got, at the maximum, 1 minute of screentime, they were very good.
  • Both the lady who plays Bellatrix Lestrange whose name I never bothered to find out, and the girl who plays Luna Lovegood (Evanna.. something?) are very very pretty. They also did great with their roles.
  • Harry arrives at The Burrow and their surprised-ish reaction. That scene was shot to be funny.
  • The dude who played the young Tom Riddle, even though he really didn't look like a Tom Riddle. Tom' supposed to be good-looking and the actor's.. not...But he was very good.
  • Tom Felton did a very good job.
  • Lavender Brown and Cormac McLaggen XD
  • Did I mention there were a lot of humor in this movie? But then again, I am an easily amused person. But there were definitely a lot more humor in this movie alone then all five of the previous ones combined.

Things that I really, really bother me and should bother you, too:
  • Any of the Ginny/Harry scenes, ALL of them were awkward as hell and there were ZERO chemistry between Bonnie Wright and Daniel Radcliffe.
  • This is Ginny/Harry. I know Ginny likes Harry A LOT and vice versa, but WHY THE HELL did Ginny tied Harry's shoelace for him!?!?!?
  • I think part of the problem is that Bonnie Wright matured too much... And what she was given just wasn't Ginny enough.

The Meh~ (Things that I don't really like, but didn't really bother me either):
  • Pretty much whatever I didn't mention in the like and really, really bother me section. Perhaps except for the scene where Dumbledore and Harry were in the cave. I really don't know what to make of that.
  • The Burrow, I like the one in the older movies MUCH more.
  • The scene right after Dumbledore died, overkill much?
  • Dumbledore death... That.. I really don't know.. but I can say I didn't like it much.
  • Snape's hair.. looked.. permed? I duno.. I thought it was supposed to be straight.

Things that we need more of:
  • Quidditch
  • Mcgonagall
  • Where was Moaning Myrtle?
  • They missed a lot of the memories about Tom Riddle, which would be VERY useful for the next Harry Potter movies. It would make it much easier then non-readers to understand. But then again, most who watch the movies also read the books, which is good. Besides, I'm pretty sure most non-readers were already confused from the third movie onwards. But I thought, at the very least, they should have mentioned the fact that Tom Riddle loved Hogwarts and have always wanted to return.
  • Explain the Half-Blood Prince. Damnit
Overall: I think this is one of the three Harry Potter movies that I can say I like without feeling ashamed~ 8D

So those are my observations/feelings. I hope those were ALL my observations/feelings but I'm pretty sure there were more things I liked/disliked. I even left the msn windows where I told people about the movie and discussed about the movie open so I could put those stuff here. But yea.. stupid Microsoft

*Edit: Also, Daniel Radcliffe really looked like Steven Harper (Prime Minister of Canada, I keep having to remind myself.) with glasses on the posters cause he seemed so fat on the posters. I told Miller... he laughed.. a lot....*
